Weapons .6.5/10.Its been a week I feel like its fair to give a spoiler-filled review. Its good but I think it was overhyped by a really well done marketing campaign. The way the trailer looked I thought it be a constant thriller but for the most part its a character drama-

I picked a good time to drop the KOTH reboot. The show wasn't afraid to get a bit out there but it always had an air of authenticity to it. This is written like a strawman argument. Which you can expect as this episode was written by the lead writer for Velma.

Great my mind is going a bit batty. I could have sworn this character resembled a fat Stevonnie or Smoky Quart. I guess the knowledge that the SU crew hired a Trigger animator for a bit of work and how Sugar and Quartey had a cameo in Little Witch Acedemia made me paranoid.

Should be noted that Auguste clowns don't traditionally wear full white makeup on their face. Instead using makeup to exaggerate facial features to come off as more fun. European White Face clowns do and often incorporate a level of social commentary into their act.

Watched a video on the history of clowning and realized that Joker's makeup change makes him go from a an American Auguste clown, a clown whose act mostly consists of being the fool, to a more traditional European clown, who style of entertainment is more refined and emotional

It doesn't alternate between cheap shock comedy and sex scenes to suddenly being about unsublte social commentary about the Trump Administration. It's entertainment for the sake of fun, not some message.

Realized part of why I found myself enjoying it so much was because it knew what it was. Genndy wanted to make a sex comedy with dogs, and that's what he did. He didn't include self-referential comedy, no 4th wall breaks, and no pretentious commentary. It's refreshingly earnest.
Fixed.7/10.Its gross and raunchy but its also expressive, funny, and well animated the whole way through. Sex gross out comedy ain't my thing but I respect the talent involved, and I especially respect the decision to go against the grain and make what you want. Give it a shot.
