This is a rule most don't get. Usually it's a situation where it bumps into the leg of the kicking team. The first touching spot is the spot where the ball can ALWAYS go back to. Anything that happens after than can only end up more positive. Worst case? Back to first touching.
Here is an example of what I was talking about on the postgame show. Once a member of the kicking team touches the ball, the returner can try to scoop it and return with no risk because the receiving team gets to pick if they want it at the spot it was first touched by the
