Bengaluru is the only major city in India which does not have a reliable public transport option eventhough it's the 3rd largest in GSDP and 2nd largest in Size!. People are so PT starved that even 20 min frequency metro seems a good deal than roads below.
Just five minutes before the departure to Electronics City/Bommasandra, the (4th or 5th trip) train is already on track to be packed. Great to see so many people enjoying the new line. #YellowLine

Bangloreans are more Public transport hungry . Even more than Mumbaikars ! . This shows how much the city has been denied access to Public transport - Good or bad that even metro with 30 min frequency and limited stops are going full on Day 1!.

Such a slow progress for a city having population more than Pune and Nagpur. Both the cities have 2 operational lines and will have more in few years time. Gujarat after Narendra Modi left for Delhi, has been very sluggish.

1950-60 Bombay was ruled by Communists which were the backbone of all the labour unions. Congress was fedup and new Shivsena took a bold stand against communists . Congress formed the government and transformed Maharashtra and Shivsena became the main opposition! . India won!
The fall of Kanpur marked the beginning of the end for communism in India. as they were termed as parasites to the country, which they really are.

States like Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Bihar should really look into offering something more and better to industries than Western and Southern states to attract them even if it curtails social spending on free rations, DBT, etc.
Was playing around with numbers. This is just my subjective assessment. When Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra achieves $1 trillion, their GDP percapita would be as follows:. Tamil Nadu $12,000.Maharashtra $7000. Because of higher population, Maharashtra percapita is relatively less.
