Honoured to be awarded the Brodie Prize for our work, in which we problematise the theorising of Europe's East and Central Asia through western-centric perspectives and russia-centric frameworks, calling instead for the re-centering of the knowledges of (de)occupied societies
🏆We are proud to announce the winner of the 2025 B. Brodie Prize: for their critique of “Westsplaining” + coloniality in dominant debates on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, @TerezaHendl @OBurlyuk @MilaOSullivan & @levbekk’s work was recognized by a jury from our editorial board

Russia has started to attack not only hospitals, but also pharmacies in Ukraine, endangering treatment of civilian population. This indicates continuation of a genocidal strategy adopted towards Ukrainian population by the russian state.
Russia destroyed the central warehouse of a pharmacy network in Dnipro — a facility built just last year and storing medicines for over 500 pharmacies across Ukraine.

As our paper with @DurdiyevaSelbi On Collateral Damage, Selective Anti-imperialism and the Path to Liberation came out in American Communist History, my thoughts are with Joy James and Lucius Outlaw with whom we were lucky to have incredibly insightful conversations on our work
So glad to have been invited to join the discussions on the philosophy of Angela Davis with a critical contribution, and what an absolute joy to meet Joy James and spend time in immensely interesting conversations with her and Lucius Outlaw. Their support will power us onward 1/n

“It’s your war. You’ve just outsourced the dying.” And fighting
"We're defending your freedom 400 kilometers east of Warsaw. While you avoid calling this a war, we are dying in your stead." Oleksandr Yakovenko, Ukrainian defense tech founder, has a message for Europe: "We are the only buffer between Europe's cozy 'Russia is weak' theory and

It will never not be amazing how all of these puppets are suddenly in lockstep, screeching about European “warmongering” while Russia is, you know, actually the one invading another country.
