well, yeah, sonic fans aren't super invested in exe lore. they rely on how they remember sonic.exe in 2012. the lazy og design is not just the one fans recognize, but also the most common one.

are mainline characters fucked over in IDW because of mandates and limitations, bad writing, or a mix of the two? because I think it's a mix, and that's why there's pushback about it being canon now.
“somehow” it’s cuz they were able to have actual arcs and stories happen in her dimension. IDW needs a Sonic Universe equivalent back asap

Idk how people don't understand this but Japan doesn't fuck with fast paced games like Sonic because of motion sickness. That's also why Doom doesn't do as well over there.
