The distribution of resourceTypes in @DataCite continues to evolve. A current update shows that 75% of the resources added so far during 2023 are PhysicalObjects. This is a great step forward for connecting these to past and future research.

What is in @ORCID_Org profiles and where does it come from? Data from UCAR: it's mostly published works and most gets added by publishers through @CrossrefOrg. Researchers benefit from work they already did during article submission! @UCAR_News.

What does project metadata look like in @DataCite? There are over 100,000 projects described with DataCite metadata. Current approaches in a sample of these ( shows no clear pattern and opportunities for improving project connectivity.

Nearly 900 RORs created during the last several years have been dropped from the ROR database and no longer resolve. These missing RORs have been identified. What should be done with them?.

The @ResearchOrgs interface and API work well for a small number of affiliations that need identifiers, but what if you have many organization names or affiliations? Try RORRetriever if you have a big ROR search and don’t know where to start!
