Studying for your sec+ create 3-5 projects to solidify the material that you’re learning. Get some hands on experience along with that cert.
Certs get you past HR. Skills get you the job
Going all in for Govtech next year. Even looking to move to VA to make that happen. Legit almost done with my Bachelors in cyber. I have a semester or two left. God is good.
It’s never too late. Always remember that. It’s never too late to go to school, change careers, invest etc. start today if you can. Trust me it is NEVER TOO LATE.
Lost 55 pounds this year, stacked up bread something crazy. Made amazing investments. Career has taken me to a place I could only dream of. Man I really did that shit.
You want to move from desktop support to cloud or cyber. Lab so much that in your interviews you can speak about the things you’ve labbed through and through.
As stressful as it is in Tech shidddd. They better pay as well as they do. This shit is ridiculous. Just imagine being on a 3+ hour troubleshooting call?
People talking about network engineers will no longer be in demand.. Those folks are dummies. Networking is networking whether it’s the Cloud or on prem.
I wouldn’t have gone straight to the CISSP. Would’ve done the trifecta (CCNA, RHCSA & Sec+). Get a sys admin or cyber role. From help desk to these roles you should be clearing at least 75k.
Do that until I get my 4 years then get the CISSP.
I received this on a resume yesterday, why do y'all jump straight to the top certs while having virtually no experience in the space? This candidate works in help desk btw
Just because people say don’t take the A+ exam. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t learn the information. I’d rather you put that $450+ towards something else tbh.
As men we must take full accountability of our lives and actions. Our choices whether right or right. Stand on them and deal with the consequences of what happens. You made that bed now lie in it. Face what happened and move accordingly in an HONORABLE manner.
If you think you need a two part certification to prove you know how to plug in a rj45 or install an OS 🫠
I'm starting to understand the confusion and why people collect certs like infinity stones lol
Do not skip the fundamentals. You can shoot for devops and cyber all you want. Thing is if you don’t have the fundamentals you’re building on a faulty foundation.
2 things you can’t skip over when getting into cybersecurity:
1. Networking
2. Linux
I get a lot of messages asking if they are totally necessary. They are completely essential & their importance cannot be understated. You could specialize in these 2 things & make 6 figures.
I want to get the CCNP Security & PNCSE. Even though these are just things that I want to do for myself. Would I truly even benefit from it if im going to specialize in DevSecOps?
Hey
@blar51
(or anyone interested in men’s colognes) here are my favorite
@LouisVuitton
scents…
Afternoon Swim is a very fresh/summer/citrus one. Reminds me of a high end Cool Water but more summer. I probably wear this the most.
L’immensite is just a solid all around LV
If I'm understanding this correctly they're not blocking him for copping to much. They're blocking him because they believe he's reselling and taking items form other clients. A lot of high end brands will block access if they catch you re-selling.
Master the fundamentals of your craft. Idc what your craft is know the fundamentals like back of your hand. That will take you further than you could ever imagine.. it’s hard to build something on a foundation that’s made of sand..
Idk how tf I’ve been able to really be apart of so many different projects at work. Network management is wants me to help out with Palo Alto firewall upgrades. Gonna send me logins and documentation to do it
