A few snap shots from around the course over Captains weekend. Great to have a full team in on Saturday morning for a complete set up. Huge credit to everyone, they did an amazing job enursing all areas were looking and performing at their very best.

It is great to see some ongoing nice weather over the last week🌞🌞. The course is now beginning to dry, producing firm and fast playing conditions. The main tasks switch quickly to managing moisture, ensuring surfaces remain at their best.

Glorious @GantonGC. Such a strong test in amazing condition given the rain we have ‘enjoyed.’ Gorse clearance, new 17th tee @Team_Ganton have been busy. Changes to the 9th look amazing. But why did the club bother purchasing this? My shoes were cleaner after playing the course!

This week we welcomed Sam Hughes into the Ganton Team. Sam has just returned from the Ohio State Program in the USA and will be a great addition to the team.@tcsturfequip was also back at Ganton to help make further improvements to mowing quality and undertake some staff training

This morning Head Professional Garry Brown hit the first ball officially opened our new 9th hole. Huge credit to everyone involved and thanks you to our members for their patience over the last 6 months. A great addition which will really add to the golfing experience at Ganton.

Last week we said goodbye to Tyler Holmes as he leaves for America to join the Ohio State Internship Program. He will be working at some of biggest courses and tournaments in the world. Tyler has been a key part of the Ganton Team and will be missed by all. Good luck mate. 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♂️

One of the main projects over the last few months has been opening the 9th carry. Creating a dramatic new habitat and improve visibility of the entire hole. Last week railway sleepers were installed creating the pathway which will carry golfers from tee to fairway. @JwnLimited

This week contractors completed the last of our project work. An area to the left of the 11th hole was opened up to create some fantastic views, providing a corridor between the 10th and 11th holes.Over 500t of sand was generated which will be reused as topdressing. @JwnLimited

Lots of exciting projects are now reaching completion. Following scrub and gorse clearance the footprint of an old bunker was uncovered on the 18th Approach. Using old photos as a reference this bunker has now reintroduced.

It has been a busy month for the team, carrying out a range of different projects. Lots to get through with a final push over the next few weeks to get everything finished ahead of an exciting season.Results from botanical and agronomic improvements have also been very positive.

Last week @360GroundCare joined us at Ganton to undertake important vegetation management and gorse clearance work. Opening up some fantastic views across the course. Further work will continue throughout the winter to help improve the playability of several holes.

As we come to the end of 2023 the team would like to thank everyone for their continued support. Its been a very successful season at Ganton and a busy few months carrying out various projects and further improvements. Roll on 2024 and with it hopefully some better weather 🌞

Work to improve the 9th hole continues. Contractors have now moved off site. Another fantastic job by @JwnLimited. A walkway will to be installed when materials arrive on site. Over the next few months the team will now complete various tasks across the project. @golfarchitects

Lots currently going on @GantonGC as we approach winter. Annual cut and collect of golf course rough, fairway maintenance and seeding work across all areas. The first of our projects is also well underway making further exciting improvements to the 9th hole.
