By putting in Arch Manning, Steve Sarkisian may have completely irrationally caused a QB controversy and potentially lost the locker room. Quinn Ewers’ sideline demeanor looked defeated and Arch didn’t do anything more to help the offense. If the season crumbles, Sark is to blame.

Never forget: Texas fans viewed Quinn Ewers as a savior after Sark’s 5-7 first season. Ewers answered, led Texas to first Big 12🏆since 2009 & first-ever CFP appearance. Followed it up w/SEC title game/CFP spot. Fans now: Quinn Ewers is trash, a liability & needs to go😂.

Biggest thing Sark needs to address in his offseason assessment of the program is the secondary. Texas secondary hasn’t progressed at all after three years. Lots of young talent but lack of development of upperclassmen shouldn’t be overlooked.

Pete Kwiatkowski will (almost certainly) be the first Texas DC since Will Muschamp that will have the option to coach a fourth season. Texas is 7-1 in large part due to Kwiatkowski and the defense. And to think there were literally TONS of fans who wanted him fired in Year 1.

These refs … I have zero issue with Steve Sarkisian yelling at the ref to “Do your job.” Texas had two TDs erased and 6 penalties for 49 yards (at least two were questionable calls at best) compared to ISU’s 1 for 0 yards in the first half.
