Oh for heaven's sake, I figured that owl shot at the end of AHSOKA meant *something* significant in the lore, but I was not expecting anything this elaborate and nonsensical. What the hell, Star Wars?

Feels like EL CONDE came and went without the discussion it deserved, and I get it — it's esoteric and slow, especially at the beginning, and it's more metaphor than story. But it features one of my favorite sequences of the year, a scene I can't get out of my head:

A cute, catchy song about body image, laughing at the haters, and wondering why people on the Internet gotta be so mean. Strongly recommended as an antidote after interacting with strangers who suck. (Or you can drop this on them, then mute them forever.)

Not usually a fan of audience insertion in post-film director Q&As, but after PET SEMATARY: BLOODLINES, Q&A host @ScottWamplerRIP rhetorically asked "Who doesn't love cannibalism?" and a viewer shot back "Victims of cannibalism?" I'm still giggling 24 hours later. #FantasticFest

DREAM SCENARIO was everything I was hoping for: Weird but thoughtful, unpredictable but governed by a metaphorical logic that made it all hold together for me. I'm really looking forward to the conversations around this one. #FantasticFest
