Hyperlipidemic patients with high LDL > 100 mg/dl have significant CV benefit from infusion of HDL/ApoA1 infusion after MI, new substudy from AEGIS-II trial shows. Finding biologically plausible and hypothesis generating, requires prospective validation. #ESCCongress

PCI is effective at reducing angina when the target coronary lesion is responsible for angina. Sounds obvious, but bears repeating because of the implications: This is a DIAGNOSTIC problem, not a therapeutic one. We don't have a perfect test linking symptoms to disease.

We found that a new subcutaneously administered 2b3a inhibitor improved patency in #STEMI patients We are now testing the effectiveness of this drug in a phase 3 trial when administered at the time the ambulance arrives at a patient's home
