True, especially for some pockets in London, Birmingham and across the UK. Ironically the most extreme regions beside those pockets are not in the Middle East, they're in Caucasus, the Balkans and Central Asia.
I agree with Tarek here. My experiences of visiting quite a few majority muslim countries chime with his take. However, it is NOT true for the West. The West has a major radical islam problem. It's visibly 100x more intense in Britain than it is in Turkey and Morocco. .

China has proven that totalitarianism can be more effecient than democracy. They could argue that humanity needs advancement more than freedom. You can't go wrong with either. I'm team democracy and freedom though.
