Making a game engine where tags = everything. player_controlled, can_walk, can_jump, camera_follow — all from tags. Objects too: remove solid → boulders fall, add carry + throwable → pick up a bush. That’s Tagspire. First clip below ⬇️ #gamedev #indiedev

New video: wall jump mechanics are in. Movement is tighter, states are cleaner, and the system now emits proper jump/landing events for effects and polish. Air jumps (2x, 3x, even more) are supported, though not shown here. #GameDev #IndieDev #PixelArt #Platformer #Python

The goal is full editability: every entity, handler, tag, property, and sprite will be configurable directly inside the editor. No external files, no manual JSON edits—everything adjustable in one place as the engine grows.

After last week’s systems→handlers refactor, here’s a first look at the modular editor: tabbed metadata, particle swapping, handler browser, and instant jump to the sprite editor. Everything is modular and ready for more tools to plug in as I expand. #gamedev #indiedev #python

Internet works on Windows 95!!!!! Can visit websites now with MSIE 3 Just had to set the network card IRQ to 10 and I/O base to 300 Yeehawwwww 🤠

Finished the Windows 95 install and it runs really well Now trying to set up dial-up internet This interface is such an experience, maybe more so than Windows 3.11 because it's much closer to 98/ME/NT/XP etc.

💥 Playing with explosions Added the explosive tag to the vase — now it explodes when thrown! 💣 Explosion radius, wave speed, and damage are all configured in metadata, so each object can behave differently. In this short test, the player picks up a vase and throws it — watch it

Testing the new dim light handler — when an entity with can_dim_light touches one tagged dimmable, the light fades slightly. Subtle effect, but it really adds life to the environment. #GameDev #IndieDev #Pygame #2DPlatformer

Testing the new dynamic edge sensor system — now generated during gameplay instead of being preloaded. Edge grabbing still needs a bit of polish, and there’s a random damage bug left over from recent core changes. Just showing progress and testing stability. Work in progress —
