Just left the @male_bps conference in London, my first conference and first time presenting at one. Met some wonderful people and heard some amazing research and practice talks @DrLizBates @ProfHine

Very proud to have presented at my first conference and to such a receptive and positive audience!
Next up is Tadgh Tobin from NTU talking about work exploring the definition and attitude construction around sexual violence #malepsychconf23 @DrJennyMackay @CraigHarper19

Anyone else have a bunch of random documents about a very specific theory/idea, with a bunch of references? I need to make myself an information sheet or everything I read leaves me brain immediately 😅 #AcademicTwitter #AcademicChatter #phdvoice #PhD #phdchat #Research

**CALLING ALL #BARRISTERS** PLEASE consider taking part in a brief survey focused on barrister perceptions of rape trial justice (annon of course). It's proving difficult to recruit barristers so we greatly appreciate your help!

The festive season is great for curling up on the sofa, with a warm blanket and a psychological survey. Help a PhD student out

Luckily I had the option to work outside of term time and not work while at uni, but that option was only available during my BSc, and guess what? Those were the years I had the best grades, the best mental health, and grew the most as a person.

This thread is a great commentary on higher education. As a student who did have to work insane hours throughout my A levels, BSc, MSc and now my PhD, it's hard and shouldn't have to be like this. If it's between paying rent and attending a class, you know what'll be sidelined
Lots of students work. This isnt news and isnt new. But what is new or at least different, is the amohnt of students trying to hold down basically full time jobs whole studying. One of my 3rd yr dissertation students a few years back was working 40 hours a week!
