This feels like one of the most important design jobs today.
Looking for a designer that wants to help build an AI scientist and figure out how that actually interacts with people. In-person @FutureHouseSF - DMs open.

Ciona sounds like an excellent model organism to study the 'developmental biology' of material manufacturing -> especially as tunicates are the only animal that creates cellulose (major component of wood), and they create a very pure, long crystal structure as well.
After many yrs building internally @ArcadiaScience, we're now able to partner more with others on cool organisms. You won't hurt my feelings if you don't read my post, but i will cut you if you don't watch our first organismal spotlight animation -- just skip to the bottom! 🧵.

If anyone is interested in funding a FRC, looking to advance protein composite material manufacturing in the Pacific Northwest or beyond - give me shout!.
"BBNs" have officially been given a government name: Frontier Research Contractors. The reason why: @ARIA_research has funded a program to help found and scale them!. This is a testament to ARIA's ambition. It's the only pot of funds in the world dedicated to launching these orgs.

💯- for materials we need this at 10g in two weeks turn around or better. What does that system look like?.
How can we enable biotechnology? Make protein faster!! . Check out our new work in cell-free protein synthesis making ~1 g/l/h of protein. Led by the amazing Meagan Olsen @NUSynBio .
