Today, on Emancipation Day, we reflect on a truth often overlooked: slavery existed in Canada. Its legacy lives on. We acknowledge the harms of anti-Black racism — including the role of policing. Trust must be earned. We’re committed to doing the work. #EmancipationDay2025
