@RealAg_Amber and I had a good visit about a bit of what I have learned over the last 50 plus years dealing with cows and calves during calving season. My hope is that it may help other cow calf operators make calving season safe and enjoyable and less stressful for the cows.

Churning solely grass fed butter from my favourite Jersey, Bea. She's fourteen years old now and truly a generous and benevolent bovine. I make all of our butter in the summer, freezing a year's worth by the time autumn rolls around.

A good reminder. The campaign to convince us that cattle are destroyers of the planet and our health is simply another bait and switch con job, just another lie in a long and growing list. The conmen stand to benefit immensely of course selling us plant proteins and insects.
Your periodic reminder that a cow cannot add a single atom of carbon to the atmosphere that wasn't previously removed from the atmosphere by a plant. So, cows cannot increase atmospheric CO2, they merely recycle CO2. It's not a new source of carbon. And without cows, bacteria.
