Tough to know whether stocks rose because of Powell's dovish Jackson Hole comments or Trump's idiotic lies. What a fucking loser.
Trump looks weak and has completely lost his marbles by claiming the US has taken in $4 trillion in tariffs. This is an insane exaggeration. The fact is, tariffs have jacked up prices while harming demand, corporate earnings and jobs. He’s flailing.

Moore: They overestimated job creation during the Biden administration. That is a huge error. Trump: It might not have been an error. That is the bad part. I think they did it purposely. Moore: You may well be right.

First cut at Q3 2012 GDP (Oct 26): 2.0%.Second cut (Nov 29): 2.7%.Third and final cut (Dec 20): 3.1%. So, no, it wasn't a blockbuster to begin with and again, no, it was not "revised away." It was revised higher. And Hassett is, as ever, a hack.

You've got a sense of humor, Ray. I'll give you that.
I probably would have fired the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics too. That's because its process for making estimates is obviously obsolete and error-prone, and there is no good plan in the works for fixing it. The huge revisions in Friday’s employment numbers are.

Really looking forward to your screed on how BLS can improve its methodologies while having its budget slashed. Please opine on that. I'm old enough to remember the Statistical Abstract, which Census had to can in 2012 for want of $3 million.

The surveillance state is upon us, but it's been built bottom-up, not top-down. One community at a time, Flock has grown like a cancer. Millions in Public Funds, Zero Public Input: Flock's Surveillance System Might Already Be Overseeing Your Community

The $7.5 billion surveillance company Flock Safety is operating in 49 states and over 5,000 communities, but the residents of Scarsdale, NY, are fighting back.
