Recognising a deviation to the norm is how people get themselves to the Doctor, their symptoms assessed, and diagnosed with a condition. Mental disorders are a great example of that, who knows the thoughts and voices in your head better than you?

@Carlynotcarley The point is about people who are faking disabilities because it’s trendy, like self diagnosing mental disorders

Managing a physical condition #Bronchiectasis with a neurodivergent condition #ADHD is very tiring. Often, when one condition exacerbates, it has knock-on effects on the other. #NHS healthcare does not acknowledge this. #personcentred #wholeperson

My niece, a #biomedical graduate is researching disorders for her masters, including researching #Fibromyalgia. Thankfully I consider it dormant for myself, but I am beyond happy and proud she is using her time and skills to try to make life better for others. #research #FMS

We are deeply concerned by reports of a violent attack at a synagogue in Manchester today. We unequivocally condemn this act of violence.

I'm chronically ill and mostly bedbound. I'm a fully skilled plater/welder. I also have qualifications in carpentry, hedge laying, dry stone walling, and also have chainsaw licence to fell medium sized trees. My problem isn't skills. It's illness.

Disability and chronic illness isn't a skill issue. Say it louder for the people in the back.

My sister, a fully qualified doctor, was treating a patient in A&E when he told her to "come back when you can speak English." Born and bred in Britain, straight A student, speaks perfect English. But still not enough because she's a proud Muslim woman who wears the hijab.

Doctors are patients too! #NHS is for all of us, although if you’re healthy & wealthy you may not need it As a society having access to care, free at the point of need, is worth fighting for Why? Because you never know when YOU might be in need! That’s a functioning society!

Today I helped a lost patient find their way, walking with them along this long corridor to make sure they reached the right clinic Working in a hospital, we should never forget just how intimating, scary & disorientating they can be for patients & visitors

Great week at work. Working with some very compassionate colleagues, people who really tailor their approach to each patient. I'm starting to do some initial tasks which is great, I hope I can pick up some confidence over the next few weeks and be able to do more independently.

Had a brilliant week at work. A Christian patient identified me as a Muslim by my headscarf and started talking to me about faith. Said they'd not been able to get to church due to illness. I informed them of in-hospital chaplain service and they requested a visit. #personcentred

New data reveals GP teams delivered a record 33.6 million appointments in July and 127,112 care home visits – the second highest on record. Thank you to GP teams who continue to work hard to meet rising demand this summer. ℹ️ https://t.co/nn9Ku1Omec

Returned to work after a week off with an exacerbation of #Bronchiectasis. My colleagues are lovely. I feel super grateful to have found myself in a team of empathetic and protective people. :) #physiotherapy and #occupationaltherapy workers are so chill. 🥳 #therapy #AHP

Completed my first week as a #TherapyAssistant working with #Physiotherapy and #OccupationalTherapy colleagues. Observed assessments and treatments with a wide range of patients. So honoured to serve the community that I grew up in, and a health service that also cares for me.

Disability benefits aren’t “extra money.” They exist to cover the ADDITIONAL COSTS of being disabled or sick. And research shows they NEVER close the gap. #TakingThePIP

If a hospital is not going to extend a doctor's contract due to any reason. They should inform the doctor in good time. There are many IMG doctor's stories where they spent months seeking contract extension, only to be told at the last minute it is not possible. The
