@quocleix @ilyasut another obvious related qtn that keeps coming up - when do we need explicit world models? it seems that Google has a foot in both worlds (Genie vs IMO DeepThink).

Youβre carrying around in your head a model of how the world works. Will AI systems need to do the same?

excited to be in Singapore to see @JeffDean recount 15 years of the development of ML/AI, how we built up to Transformers and they then took over everything, the origin of Gemini (and their org chart?!) and quoting my Pareto Frontier chart! π

as a semi-retired devrel advisor it is really fun to keep DXTips going as a side project . and surprisingly because there doesn't seem to be a "finishing school" of devrel where you just learn the tools of the trade. everyone apprentices and touches their part of the elephant.
π Every week, @michelleefang tracks dozens of developer meetups in SF. There was a Thursday last year with 10 (!) AI meetups. It's really hard to stand out. @SarahChieng guests with how she gets over 1000+ RSVPs and way more online) for her events:.

vercel is one of all the hall of fame all timer great devtools companies but the problems with this tweet being popular are:. 1. equating "DX = happy path only" makes companies overindex on the trivial stuff.2. speed and simplicity are great and impt but no mention of tradeoffs
"vercel isn't worth it just get a $5 vps".it's about the DX. who else can deploy a new website, with no prior preparation, in 16 seconds?
