If keen to develop image-based measurement methods and work on an interesting experimental mechanics challenge in cryogenic temperatures, then it'll be great to see your applications to join the research group this autumn.
A new PhD scholarship opportunity is now open to join the Team working with @arora_lab. This project is focused on digital image correlation (DIC) measurement method optimisation for materials testing at cryogenic temperatures.

Busy day for @SwanBioMedEng students; straight into VR using @gravitysketch after info. gathering lecture. Students engaged really well with the VR headsets from @SwanseaVR department. I'm not sure any other BioMedEng/Eng courses loan headsets to each student! @SUSciEng 1/2

Buzz teaching @gravitysketch live from a VR headset; workflow: teach some of the tools, then students practice, then headset back on, stream to big screens, and same again! Works well. More interactive than videos. The future is #immersive #3D @SUSciEng @SwanBioMedEng @SwanseaVR
