I’m also tremendously grateful to North Shore Emergency Management and Westlynn Baptist Church for ensuring that the displaced residents were quickly given lodging and other necessary supports. 3/4

On Saturday, I witnessed the outstanding work of first responders from across the North Shore as they knocked down the flames and rescued residents who were unable to leave their units on their own. 2/4

District of North Vancouver Fire & Rescue is fighting a large fire at Silverlynn Apartments this morning. I am deeply concerned for the safety of everyone affected but I have limited information at present. My thoughts are with the Silverlynn residents and the firefighting crews.

This is just wrong. The Infrastructure Projects Act is about reducing redundancies (not standards) on critical infrastructure projects like schools and hospitals — projects Rustad failed to invest in when he was in government — so that they can be built faster for communities.
David Eby’s authoritarian power grab, Bill 7, is back. We fought back Bill 7 once. Now we need to do it again. Watch @JohnRustad4BC explain 👇

With 74 new spaces for child care, the Centre will be Western Canada’s only degree-granting, purpose-designed, integrated Centre of Early Childhood Care, research, and Lab School education! Amazing initiative for thought leadership and ECE policy development!

A fierce champion for nurses and all healthcare workers, Aman’s work advocating for minimum Nurse to Patient Ratios will leave a lasting benefit for all British Columbians. My sincere condolences to her colleagues, friends and family. 🙏🏼
Aman Grewal, the former president of the British Columbia Nurses' Union who advocated for social justice and raising equality issues, has died.

This weekend, a Vancouver Gurdwara and Surrey Mandir were vandalized. We condemn these acts of vandalism & intimidation, especially at places of worship. We encourage anyone with information to share it with police. We stand united with Hindu & Sikh communities against hate.

Yesterday, we introduced legislation to improve graduated licensing programs to create a simpler, more accessible process for new drivers, while maintaining high safety standards for motorcycle riders and all road users.
Big news for new drivers in BC! We’re updating the Graduated Licensing Program to increase safety, reduce red tape & wait times. No more second road test, more time to learn. And safer drivers on the road. #BCGov #RoadSafety #ICBC

When you’re sick, the last thing you should have to do is go to your doctor to get a piece of paper saying you’re sick. That's why we're amending the Employment Standards Act to remove the need for sick notes for short-term illnesses. #bcpoli #bchealthcare

I met with Gavin Newsom today to talk about the impacts of tariffs. @CAgovernor expressed to me that he values our trade relationship. We spoke about the role of BC lumber in helping rebuild communities impacted by wildfires - and we are ready to help meet that need.
