I’m also tremendously grateful to North Shore Emergency Management and Westlynn Baptist Church for ensuring that the displaced residents were quickly given lodging and other necessary supports. 3/4

On Saturday, I witnessed the outstanding work of first responders from across the North Shore as they knocked down the flames and rescued residents who were unable to leave their units on their own. 2/4

Following this weekend’s fire at the Silverlynn seniors’ apartments, I’m happy and relieved to hear that all residents have been safely accounted for. 1/4

District of North Vancouver Fire & Rescue is fighting a large fire at Silverlynn Apartments this morning. I am deeply concerned for the safety of everyone affected but I have limited information at present. My thoughts are with the Silverlynn residents and the firefighting crews.

This is just wrong. The Infrastructure Projects Act is about reducing redundancies (not standards) on critical infrastructure projects like schools and hospitals — projects Rustad failed to invest in when he was in government — so that they can be built faster for communities.

With 74 new spaces for child care, the Centre will be Western Canada’s only degree-granting, purpose-designed, integrated Centre of Early Childhood Care, research, and Lab School education! Amazing initiative for thought leadership and ECE policy development!
