Always fun to write with @MichaelKimball for @PsychToday! This time on replication and whether smiling increases longevity. Spoiler: Probably not.
Our new piece at the Misinformation Desk (with good @Susan_A_Nolan) concerns smiling, baseball cards, replication, and peer review:

I was listening to fun music (The Pointer Sisters) tonight, and so wanted to let loose and dance on my deck, but then realized that if I did I could never be the Prime Minister of Finland. https://t.co/N4IkAAHYPF

A new @PsychToday piece with @MichaelKimball about "fauxtography" -- such as fantastical viral CGI animal videos (like those by @vernmanlapaz) that scammers misleadingly market as "news" for views and profit.

Computer-generated photos and videos are often created as art or entertainment, but bad social media actors sometimes share them as "news."

I already loved @MaintenancePod with the super smart and hilarious hosts @yrfatfriend and @RottenInDenmark, but the latest episode is perfection, a primer on behavioral science research, especially globally. I plan to use it in my classes, F bombs and all!

More than ever, it's important to fight back against disinformation and malinformation. @MichaelKimball and I consider the role of photos in this battle in our latest @PsychToday piece.

#unitedairlines lost my bag on Thursday. Said they’d deliver it today. Waited 19 hours for it. After midnight, they tell us delivery was attempted but failed. I was home, and my doorbell camera shows no attempted delivery. So that’s what’s commonly known as a “lie.”
