Excited that we finally have a draft of our paper on a Rwanda agronomy training program for coffee farmers. It's been a long time in the making! But such fun working with @celine_zipfel @handels_sse #EstherDuflo @MITEcon & #DanielKeniston @LSUOursoCollege.

Over 200 vessels 🚢 are stranded on both sides of the Panama Canal as an unprecedented drought and low water levels have prevented crossings. The canal handles about 40% of US container traffic. #SupplyChains #ClimateCrisis

Cool technology. It has been studied by #JennyAker & #KelseyJack in Niger. Paper is forthcoming @restatjournal . Training increases adoption, which then has effects on agricultural production & wealth. Read the @vox_dev blog here:

In the West Sahel, farmers recover degraded land and prevent desertification by digging half-moon holes. Also called “zai pits”, the ditches capture scarce rainwater and direct it toward growing plants, helping reforest the edges of the southern Sahara.
