Spending a couple of nights in Southend to see @melysmusic & @Sleepertweeting this evening at @Chinnerys. Been on the pier, had ice cream, eaten fish & chips, played crazy golf, went on the big wheel, purchased sticks of rock & a fridge magnet, had pints (& Nikki had tequila!).

Road closures on the A12 *and* A140 last night for roadworks meant our drive home from Colchester to Norwich was 99 miles, as we had to divert via Bury St Edmunds 🙄 But it was worth it! Great @weddingpresent gig at @ColchesterArts 🙌

Just finished listening to ‘Nobody’s Empire’ audiobook by @nee_massey of @bellesglasgow. Enjoyed it; was quite startling to hear my symptoms / daily battles with m.e described so accurately in someone else’s words, when I’ve grown so used to nobody ‘getting it’.

We’ve been enjoying the nice weather in the garden on my day off today. I’ve been hiding in the shade, resting after days of migraine pain with sleepless, vomitey nights…Must chase neurology about my overdue Botox for migraine jabs. Daisy has been dozing in her favourite hebe!
