The Labour Party has been a malignancy in our body politic but it occasionally throws out men and women of integrity, courage and principle. I’m thinking Peter Shore, Kate Hoey, Gisela Stuart, Rosie Duffield and now this chap, who can walk with his shoulders back.

Rachel Reeves has not just "given an 8.5% pay rise to younger workers" 🙄 She has forced employers to find another 8.5% on top of all the other cost increases. Some young people may be lucky enough to get 8.5%. But others will get the sack, or not find a job in the first place.

I don’t know if this guy does much for clients but if my wealth manager told me he sees me as a tax-generating drone I’d lose him pronto.The best case for reasonable levels of spending & tax (in that order) is the moral one. People with pretensions as commentators must grasp this
