Not to be KyoAni guy but its insane to me how they mass produce genius talents. No one in leadership positions on City, except for Ishidate who was assistant director to Ishihara, was in a leading role on Nichijou. And yet, it conjures up everything special about that production.

He is a single dad, just working hard at his electrical job. Its not some Pursuit of Happiness sucess story or this grindset mentality. He is just survived, making the most of it and taking pride in serving his community. Its genuinely so beautiful even if he struggles.

Something i never seen anyone mention when they talk about Clannad is the valor of blue collar work. I think a lot of people can relate to not going to college and seeing someone like Tomoya take pride in his non corporate job, creating meaningful relationships is rare in anime.
The more I think about it, the more I believe Clannad is the best anime we've ever had.

This manga is so gas. Its about so many things i really love.
I loved this lone about the agony of improvement. Perhaps its a warped way of looking at life, but there is beauty in that self struggle. A kin to umaku naritai and constantly pushing yourself to find answers within the world
