The home of Nicolaus Copernicus in Torun Poland. The discoverer of a heliocentric universe. It would be very difficult to explain annual changes in daylength if the sun wasn't the centre of the universe.

One of the best parts of academia is lab research visits. We have hosted Avalene Tan from UT Dallas this summer. An amazing student, person and promising scientist. Excellent talk today on seasonal morphology in brown adipose tissue. @UofGSBOHVM

Each level is also dissociated mathematically, and three different computational models are described for each level of organization. Then, a single mathematical equation is proposed to account for physiological stability.

In this paper, the genetic, molecular, hormonal and neural basis of rheostasis is outlined; when considering other systems. There is a clear hierarchical organization to physiological stability. This paper describes the organization at homeostatic, rheostatic & allostatic levels.
