Of course a play in which a female friend is told “you quote Sondheim like a man” — and the play quotes him liberally — is going to be right up my street; especially now that he has passed too, it’s amazing how his work is a touchstone of references for gay lives like mine.

Just revisited the utterly delightful @Steve_ThePlay at @7DialsPlayhouse, an achingly funny and funnily aching play about friendship, fidelity and mortality amongst middle-aged gay male friends & a dying woman; it is full of theatre references but anyone & everyone should see it.

What a treat for @realsondheim fans is #Steve @Steve_ThePlay @7DialsPlayhouse - just so many little Easter eggs in the stunning performance by @jennarusselluk and the rest of the sublime cast in a beautifully taut scripted play. Well worth the watch!
