@AbolishWestmin How many MPs have taken Israeli bribes? If they were jailed, half of the House of Commons, including The Speaker, would be banged up.

@JohnCleese I voted Leave in 2016 (and have absolutely no regrets) because of arguments against the EU I heard from Tony Benn in the 90s. Brexit has fuck all to do with Russia.

Word of the day is ‘quockerwodger’ (19th century): a puppet politician whose strings are pulled entirely by someone else.

I trace the decline of the British labour movement to the beginning of sitting at round tables and breaking down into “workshops” - the only workshops most participants would ever see. An obsession with process rather than outcome. Instead of listening and learning from Tony

Ukraine faces a stark choice. It can either accept the terms offered by America and Russia and remain a sovereign state, or it can refuse to accept the terms and cease to be a sovereign state. Zelenskyy's rejection of better deals has led it to this weak position. He is to blame.

“We intend to carry out our new slogan to the letter - not one ounce of coal for Thatcher.” #OnThisDay 1984. Augustin Dufresne, France’s miners’ leader, says French trade unionists are halting all exports of coal to Britain.

Zelensky should be reminded when you’re losing a war, you don’t set the peace terms, you merely accept them

It is critical for the Daily Mail to promote the myth that Starmer is a socialist because the truth is too much for right wing people to bear. He supports privatisation and austerity and has an aggressive foreign policy. Starmer is a neoconservative, he is one of theirs.

The tradition on #InternationalMensDay in our house was to always build book shelves from scratch. The day after was always spent picking up books from the floor after the shelves had fallen down.
