No it ain’t. Universally, “100” has long been a round number used to convey there being an abundance of something. “40” has never been that. 40 Celsius means something to you, because you grew with that. To people who didn’t, it’s not a big enough number to signify anything.

Yep. Him killing Miguel, after hearing about his three kids, was for the sake of the audience. Remove some of the sympathy to create an emotional buffer for the downfall.
Former teammates, classmates & friends were among the 300+ people who attended the prayer vigil for Arlington grad Austin Heck, who’s battling cancer. Before driving back to Albany Medical Center tonight, Austin’s dad and sister released balloons in the air, while making a wish.

And it has its place in science. But weather is meant for humans. Someone steps outside on July 19 and it’s sweltering, they’re not thinking about its hypothetical effect on water. The relevant gauge there is human feel. “I’m overheated in 100°. I feel cold when it’s 30°.”

Harlem Shake coming back, son! The real Harlem Shake, not that funny-style joint y’all had going 5 years ago. Free G-Dep, we need a remix of this “Special Delivery” remix.

Social media has taught me that a large portion of sports fans are either natural idiots or led by bias into stupidity. I once saw a heated argument about Joe Montana's 4-0 Super Bowl record being better than Brady's. Missing the playoffs >> conference championship.

There was nobody around — not an advisor or publicist or friend or even a sensible “yes” man — to say, “Whoa. No! Listen, don’t do this. It won’t be received well.”
Then again, taking no for an answer might be a challenge. Allegedly.

Better than any composite sketch I’ve seen. Everybody knew exactly who it was without even having to give it a thought. That’s when you know it’s accurate.
There it is! Katie Wall, on a driving layup with 4:29 remaining, gets her 31st point of the game and the 2000th of her career. She becomes the 13th Section 1 girls basketball player and the fourth from Dutchess County to reach that mark.

Today offered many of us a reminder that tomorrow isn’t promised, let alone next year. No assurance that any of us will see 2019. Each moment is precious and each person we care about should be cherished. Enjoy it while we’re here. I love y’all. Be safe & Happy New Year! 🥂
As Marist College readies for Brian Giorgis’ retirement press conference, they’ve got all 11 of the MAAC women’s basketball trophies won under him lined up on the podium. Not a bad decorative look.
Thank you Coach Feeley, and everyone in the DCBCA who decided this. I have a lot of respect for you guys and you’ve always been great to work and interact with, so your appreciation means a lot. I’m honored.

A 14-year-old lacrosse player named Louis Acompora died after a seemingly innocuous hit to the chest back in 2000. It led to a push to have AEDs at or near playing fields. The possibility is a frightening reality. Thoughts are with Damar Hamlin and his loved ones.
Thinking about Demar Hamlin. Commotio cordis is caused by an abrupt blow to the chest at exactly the wrong time in the cardiac cycle. Must be resuscitated with an AED.
