I am so sick of WEAK Democrats. We need fighters who will stand up to Trump and MAGA. We need a big tent of fighters, not folders.

Just wanted to point out that Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff is quite possibly the most vulnerable Senator in America right now and tonight, he voted no on this deal. This is what courage looks like.

The Democratic base clearly does NOT want Senate Democrats to do this deal and re-open the government. And yet -- they are going to do this deal. Not listening to your base is a very interesting choice -- especially days after your base delivers you a giant win.

I just voted against this funding bill because health care costs are skyrocketing. The only thing Trump knows how to do is give tax cuts to rich people, while screwing over working Americans.

I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable. We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina. A vote for this bill is a mistake.

I refuse to support a funding bill that fails to address the Republican health care crisis. And make health insurance affordable. The American people clearly understand the stakes and the urgency. We must too. I'm voting no.

I've looked at all the details of this deal to end the shutdown reached by a small group of Senate Democrats. I've talked to a number of friends on the Hill to see if there's anything I'm missing. Sadly, I am not. This is a shit deal. It's a betrayal. It's cowardice.
