None of our victories this season have really moved us forward, and losses like this are several massive steps backwards.

We’ve seen leads evaporate late in games time and time again this season, it’s never been corrected, and it has finally bitten us. It seems that we already are paying a coach not to coach.
@StateOfCLT I am completely unhappy with the collapse yesterday and thought that was on the staff but with a winning record this season and in conference, I don’t see us excusing and paying another coach to not coach. I hope Fearne tore into the team and his staff and can use this to get on

If Aaron Fearne has the nerve to coach another game, if the leadership has the nerve to let him, that is unforgivable. They would all be enemies of our success. Do not let them off the hook.

Easily the worst loss in program history. At home to the 348th best team coming into the day (there were 330 teams last time we made NCAA Tournament.). This stink won’t wash off. Pack your belongings before leaving the building today, Fearne, and do not EVER come back.

You let enough teams back into games then one of them will eventually finish the job. Been an issue not just this season, but the entire Sanchez/Fearne era. It’s in the program DNA.

Compared to an aspirational peer, UAB, the least 3 seasons (using KenPom): Q1: 3-8 Q2: 10-10 Q3: 20-11 Q4: 26-5 There is absolutely no reason our basketball program shouldn’t have the same ceiling as UAB.

Charlotte led Rice by 15 with 4:58 left in the game last Sunday, yesterday Charlotte led ECU by 14 with 9:42 left. Two games with a combined lead of 29, ended up as two nail-biters that needed opponents’ buzzer beaters to miss.
