One reason the police are so staggeringly ineffective is that they turn up in huge numbers when they turn up at all. 6 kids feel unwell & they send 4 police cars. Meanwhile robberies go uninvestigated & shoplifting & street crime are largely ignored.

Quite. And secular liberalism is no match for Islamism because notions like “universal human rights” ultimately depend on Christianity. @Danny_Kruger was right in his excellent speech to a deserted Commons. If we keep pandering to Islamists we’ll be lost.

Pathetic lack of political will on immigration encapsulated here. All anyone has to do to avoid deportation is to renounce foreign citizenship & then under current law they can’t be deported. Not one of the 8(!) Home Secretaries since 2016 has fixed this.
