A passionate and dogged display from the 1stXV team, who played an equally determined Bro Edern team in the semi-final of the Welsh Schools Plate competition. With only two points to separate the teams, Stanwell came through as eventual winners and progress to the final.

A momentous occasion for the Yr10 rugby team winning their first match in 4 years! With continuous pressure and a positive style of play they won the match 26-7 against a very physical Llantwit team. MotM James Burrows and our best wishes go to Ieaun Harris on a speedy recovery.
The Yr10 7s team played in the Urdd National Competition today in less than perfect conditions. Despite this, they still managed to put together some excellent performances, winning 4 of their 6 matches. The PE department are now looking for volunteers to wash the kit!!!! 😂

Well that’s a wrap for Rosslyn Park this year, and what a way to finish with Y8 winning 5 out of 5 matches! They played some incredible rugby in poor conditions and were a credit to the school both on and off the pitch.
Stanwell hosted a great pre season friendly between Penarth Youth and Beddau Youth today. There was some exceptional talent on display and we are sure Penarth are set for a promising season ahead. Good luck.

Each week the PE department will be posting videos of skills for you to try. The aim being to develop your hand-eye coordination and other Skill related Components of fitness that you would use in sport. Don’t forget to reply with your attempts!
