@DrSuzanneSimard Countries like Japan should phase out harmful subsidies that encourage biomass and lead to logging in places like British Columbia. Leaders worldwide have opportunities to “drive true climate solutions that lie in protecting and restoring forests, not in cutting them down.”

@DrSuzanneSimard BC must 1) clearly define waste so that whole trees are never used in pellet production and 2) ban the export of wood pellets. We must not allow the biomass industry to destroy any more biodiverse primary forests.
