charts & TA comments without nonsense. Get in at or near a base tight stops never chase. My chart read is opinion only so please do your own research
Price is the ONLY thing that pays you - your research is usually a waste of time - If you're in love with a stock ignore the chart at your peril - it's probably already cheating on you

and Port Macquarie Hospital especially emergency and Ward 3D - all such wonderful people doing so much unseen and thankless work 👍👍
In all my years on Twitter I have never deleted a chart Tweet unless I got name wrong, stuffed up because a halt etc, bad typo or something similar. As a trader you HAVE to make a call. There's NO shame in being wrong but if you don't know how to manage it you're finished

Camden Haven River fishing today - 81cm flathead near Dunbogan Boat Shed. Released but still brought 5 solid fish home up to 60cm. Water still a bit dirty - rain flushes them out into lower parts of estuary & now making their way back - fished the along the base of the rock walls
I don't usually comment or advise on how one should trade (both trade entry and ongoing management) to aid and abet people blowing their $'s. However there's no single Holy Grail or magic secret so most will probably ignore these comments....
$ZIP - the CLEAR thinking of a short term trend trader
(a) what are the fundamentals - I don't give a fuck
(a) what does it do - ditto
(b) is it going up (TREND) - YES
(c) is there enough in it to buy groceries - YES
(d) will I know when I'm wrong - YES
(e) then fukn TRADE it

is shit at the moment but think shit = opportunity. I have been through a few shit times in last 30 years and my best advice in shit times is NEVER NEVER turn your back on the market. Emerging strength shines brightly in a shit market
This is appropriate in a bear market - a thread on speculative stocks and fundamental analysis versus chart technical analysis (or reality) - just a 30 year survivor trader's point of view
Only a few days to go now to my 10th Twitter birthday celebrations so don't miss out - hurry and sign up - all my followers will be going into a lucky draw for a truckload of various secret door prizes and free passes to upcoming secret events and trading tips 🥳🎖️🎖️🎁🎁

market scan after Fridays CLOSE.
This scan looks for strength and/or weakness on both daily and weekly time frames - watch list in tradingview import format
Had to sneak off for a fish this morning - fishing mate is away so my wife stood in as 2nd mate - beautiful day on the Camden Haven River Dunbogan NSW. A lot of small stuff but managed to bring home 9 decent flathead. Was definitely ladies day - the pink ZX40's were on fire 🔥 😉
Futures looked soft so went fishing today and market rallied 🤨 but fishing turned out OK 🤠🎣🤠
A 90cm Hastings River flathead. Earlier in the morning my mate got a 84cm Jewfish in the bream hole just around the corner on a tiny blade lure
Flathead cook up in shed - fillets, chunks of backbone etc, everything except guts and heads. My wife's magic recipe - dust with flour in a shake bag, dip in egg, crumb with a crushed bag of potato crisps (flavour of your choice) + 100 secret herbs and spices - a quick hot fry
My

Good fishing today - we had a flathead 10 bagger (5 each that is) and a couple of decent high 60's. My mate likes to brag but as you know I am much more modest 🎣🤠🎣
I have attracted hate DM's for liking $BGL. Says more about them than me. Fuck it's only a stock idiots. If it looks good go in if it turns shit get out. My calls today are gold and crap tomorrow that's how the market works. Took my crystal ball and pride to the Op Shop years ago
My handful of fishing "mates" all tied up or busy tomorrow so will revert to old ever reliable wife - always there when I need her 😍 🎣🤠🎣 - a flattie gun - keeps me busy on the net
Overnight markets flat or down so hooking up the boat to go fish the Camden Haven River this morning - I'm 5 min from the boat ramp. High tide 0800 so will do the flats and then the Dunbogan rock walls on the run out. Laurieton NSW 🎣🤠🎣

Cheat Sheet - page 3 mostly crap - enjoy
Caveat - this is for fellow traders - if you don't know what you are doing you might get badly burned
My wife loves her garden and with recent rain it's stunning around here this time of year
kitchen window view
Japanese fern garden and roses
driveway camelias
blackboy finally flowers after being in for 5 years
There are some on twitter emboldened with hindsight feel the need to trash other tweeps stock calls so:
(a) fuck off you have never traded
(b) every bar is a new chapter in an evolving mystery (unless yur an insider)
(c) I post a chart and call my bias NEVER what It's going to do
Birds going nuts in the tree at the back of my shed. Looks like we have a couple of refugees from the fires. Had to cross busy road to get here 🤔 Mum is sleeping but the kid is curious. They're about 10m up the tree so hard to get a decent shot.
Weather been foul for a week but cleared up finally. Futures over the weekend pointing to soft
#asx
today so went for a fish Hastings River upstream from Port Macquarie NSW.
88cm Jewfish and a couple of 50+ flathead and a few other bits a pieces 🤠🎣🤠
A see a lot of high profile "trader" Tweeps churn out heaps of motherhood statements & old worn out trading cliches - great if you need to learn housework, cleaning teeth brushing your hair & keep fit focused feel good but absolutely NOTHING about surviving in the jungle
After 28 years trading and charting and get fucked over by the market it has often been suggested to me to write a book - that's it above - but nobody's going to buy it
When I see persistent high volume I'm obsessed with trying to figure it out. Old guy once told me that all volume is selling because without selling there can be no volume - he certainly wasn't living on the street so lock that one away - what's important is how price reacts
Is anybody interested in setting up a Group to share

My wife was 74 today and this is what she wanted. We went to this place (Linkes) in the Barossa Valley SA nearly 30 years ago. I rang them and they sent us these goodies in an express bag. She has them but hell I'll eat that bag the aroma is just so good 😋
I posted this list earlier - basically my "starter" watchlists for the week ahead - I have now marked up most of the charts with setups I'm looking for and can post a few in spare time - reply with ticker - one chart pp only and only if on one of those lists - thanks Stan

FA or TA 🤔
There's a huge industry built around the stock market churning mountains of fundamental analysis, reports, glossy brochures, news, hype etc for willing consumers to filter, cherry pick, and digest. But in the end the only truth is the price and it's price that pays.
PS - if you find these lists useful please hit the LIKE button - it will encourage an old fool like me to keep posting them while we suffer the washout of the shittiest market since 2008 😉
The jewfish failed to show but the deep holes were full of Flattie and bream (rats 🙄) but ended up a total flattie bag out - we caught over 50 fish in seven hours & lost five lure$ to bust offs and snags - was the Samakis that slayed them today - best performers circled 🎣🤠🎣
For those that follow my weekly trading stock lists - update after today's CLOSE. Today I have included the 4 day % move - we some extended, some beat up, some showing weakness, some just refuse to move either way

After market is done - time for a few 🍻🍻 - had a really decent week - hope you did too - can now buy proper groceries on the weekend. In the meantime it's lousy old flattie and chips tonight with leftovers for tomorrow 😂 - HAGW all 🎣🤠🎣

(Free Friday Tip) to make $quillions
stock chart clutter = analysis paralysis
focus on trend, support, resistance, price, and volume.
where they interact is your supply demand story
Simple Bear market advice FWIW
Sit on your cash, watch the charts, update trend channels & support resistance areas EVERY day, forget history, ignore market news, turn the TV off. When it ends and starts to turn our chart focus will ensure we will be among the first to know
Broke out of lock down today to practice social distancing from the wife. Camden Haven River NSW flathead - tons of small stuff around but when the wind picked up we managed a couple of thumpers - me 68cm then smart arsed mate 75cm
Daiwa double clutch lazers perch and ayu
Important time to keep steely focused on charts of the markets you trade so ignore the news muppets, opinionated nobodies, arm chair generals, and opportunistic political operatives. They aren't going to pay you, only correct interpretation of the charts can do that
#asx
Thought for the day. The world is not fukt as Twitter would have many of us believe. It only appears fukt by the overwhelmingly endless focus on the few badly fukt things there are 😉
The bastardisation of Philip Lowe on my twitter feed today is disgusting. Every month with gun to head (held by all sorts of massive vested interests) he has to make a call based on what is known at the time. As new things become known he has to adjust or change the call.

fintwit tweeps. Post your ideas, charts and setups (in advance) and acknowledge others who do same. If you're wrong humility and more study is the best cure. Save the bragging for your mum, girlfriend or the gronks down the pub
LPS=last point of support is where the demand came in to stop a reaction
(a) always put your stop in a sensible place like LPS
(b) calculate the pain from your entry to LPS
(c) if pain is too much don't make the trade
(d) plenty other setups
(e) trade the setup NOT the stock
Practice using RS or relative strength - it is generally rewarded. I use the weekly charts to filter the noise - might start a thread on a few of these stocks (relative strength list) when I get back from fishing tomorrow 🤠🎣🤠
Market is not looking good at the moment but that's when you should be looking - if you want to make money out of the market NEVER turn your back on it - now's the time to be lining up your ducks (watch lists, plans, strategies etc) no matter how bad it seems 👇👇

A moving average acting as support is the dumbest thing I have seen in nearly 30 years of trading - a moving average acting as resistance is the second dumbest thing - don't be dumb - learn to follow price - it's the only thing that's going to pay you
Big haul of bream and flathead today 24 fish. The crocodile was 80cm. Normally release these girls but this one had 90mm lure buried deep in the throat. Wauchope Hastings River NSW mid north coast
Finding and sharing setups and chart patterns is easy - how to trade them is the endless puzzle - every setup is different - evolves bar by bar and can be trashed in an instant

Tradingview users - EOD market scan for movers today that are potential trade setups - sorted in 3 month strength order - best near top - junk near bottom - from the link copy into your Tradingview - might find something you like - see notes below
Posted this in response to a question - thought it worth sharing. We all have preferred entry strategies so not saying others are wrong - this is just one I often use for this type of setup.

Looks like you are going in at the wrong place. I don't teach or coach but it's Sunday so will make exception. See chart for an example.
Setups are not "set" - they evolve, so strategy needs to evolve
This post is just an idea and NOT intended to start a discussion
$DYL when you see strong volume like this on the back of a healthy trend that DOES NOT advance the price in line with the trend you need to think about who is feeding the supply side - good chance it's NOT retail

Hooking up boat for 🎣🤠🎣- might be a dull day on the market. Have caught 17 Jewfish over the last few weeks - all 40 to 60cm - nothing legal (70cm) so maybe today's the day - the fresh flow has tapered off and big new moon tides should be getting them up the river 🫰
Getting desperate so had to sneak off for a fish at 0530 this morning to catch a nice tide. After a really lean month think I've gotten my mojo back 🤠 Caswell Channel off the Hastings River near Wauchope NSW about 24Km up-river from Port Macquarie
Rain and flood rekt for two months but finally managed a decent fish today - Camden Haven River NSW - along Dunbogan rock wall - a neap tide - Samaki Vibelicious and Ecogear ZX40 blades - nearly a "bag out" on flatties + a "lost" Tailor
After couple of luckless weeks got my mojo back 🤠
9m deep hole Hastings River Wauchope NSW sparrow fart this morning on tiny Ecogear ZX40 blade, 4lb Fins braid & 12lb flouro leader
$asx down 6.2% a rare event. It's been down over 5% only six times in the last 33 years
Oct 2008 - 8.5%
Jan 2008 - 7.1%
Apr 2000 - 5.7%
Oct 1997 - 7.5%
Oct 1989 - 8%
Oct 1987 - 25% 😮😮

Often used to think the same myself until I discovered the world is what it is no matter what I think and I was fucked up for not going along with it. As a trader it helps you accept that reality is way more powerful than what you think. Trade the reality - you'll never look back

People ask me how I use Tradingview to screen for trading stocks. While I do that it's not straight forward as some might think. Stock selection screening is one third of the trading holy grail so hardly going to tell anybody how I do it - it's not that simple - see this thread

This is my current end of week Tradingview scan. I export (download) raw data in Excel spreadsheet form then copy/paste into a blank master spreadsheet that has all my formula and calculations. Then crunch the numbers, filter, sort etc.

👍 I don't mind answering questions about a particular technical point or my interpretation of it but have to say those that require several pages, or a book chapter, or a Julius Sumner Miller dissertation are not cool on Twitter
