My parents had to put their dog down two years ago and it’s been really hard on them. Unfortunately my stepdad,
Rick, has found the worst way to cope: feeding a one-year old raccoon and letting him live on their porch. His name is Little Rick aka Rickoon. And by “feeding” him,
I mean they make him breakfast every morning. My mom claims she’s against this because he’s a **WILD ANIMAL** and dirty but she’s lowkey in cahoots. This woman is lying to my face. She bought Little Rick sardines and berries and hard boils eggs for him and puts out a bowl of
water so he can wash his little people-hands. I have told them I would love to get them a cat. Maybe even a small dog. They say they don’t want another pet. THEN WHY DOES LITTLE RICK HAVE DOG TOYS
My parents had to put their dog down two years ago and it’s been really hard on them. Unfortunately my stepdad,
Rick, has found the worst way to cope: feeding a one-year old raccoon and letting him live on their porch. His name is Little Rick aka Rickoon. And by “feeding” him,
Little Rick has A BED. They laid down towels and a blanket for him. Need I remind you: Little Rick is not a dog. He’s a raccoon. He will bite. They’re in denial. He’s using you for eggs before he kills you in your sleep
“He’s cute!”
“Leave him alone!”
“Let them do it!”
No. He’s a wild animal. This raccoon looks cute until it tries to kill you. Y’ALL. LOOK AT THIS. LITTLE RICK CANNOT BE TRUSTED
I told my mom about this thread and I just heard her in the kitchen tell my stepdad “Your raccoon is famous, he has 450 followers!” Like what? No, incorrect, false
Little Rick has a messed up back leg and they saw him when he was a little raccoon baby and didn’t think he’d make it. So now they’re attached. I got Rick an outdoor camera to watch LR, which I can disclose here because Rick doesn’t know how use phones or computers
Too dark to see Little Rick now but I’ll post a video if he’s here in the morning. Which of course he’ll be here. He lives here now. HE GETS FREE EGGS.
Little Rick is his dog now, I can’t change this. He got him a little bed and giant blueberries. I did not get either of those things for Christmas. ANYWAY, that’s it for Rick and LR, but I’m glad you enjoyed this story about finding comfort in unexpected places ❤️ Merry Christmas
I thought I was professional but I'm tearing up hearing Carroll's emotion in this press conference. Never seen or covered anyone as uniquely optimistic and true to himself. That remains true in this moment.
DK Metcalf says one of the Bucs defensive backs told him after the game that he’s lucky to play with a quarterback like Russell Wilson. Asked if he feels the same, he says yes, he feels blessed.
This team came within a score of advancing to the championship short three RBs, starting TE, starting C, starting LG, DE, and w/ a banged-up LT. I get questioning conservative coaching, but Carroll has overseen an unprecedented amount of success for this franchise.
Hey I know we’re supposed to be super professional with this, but this is wild. Grew up here and haven’t seen this team in the postseason since I was in 7th grade. Lots of tears in the stands tonight at T-Mobile.
And what if Kirk dropped his tax information? Would that be fair game for Kiermaier to scoop up a W-2 that wasn’t his? What if it was a real baby? A tiny human Kirk had in a baby carrier? Is it Kiermaier’s baby now? He gets that too?
Rays announcer keeps saying that once Kirk dropped his scouting report on the field it’s fair game for Kiermaier to take it. What if a $100 bill fell out of Kirk’s pocket? Would that be fair game for Kiermaier to take too? What if it was a family portrait? He gets that too?
Riq Woolen might leave here without gear! Giving the kids waiting for autographs a couple things, including his cleats. He and Jake Bobo signed autographs for fans for about 10-15 minutes postgame.
If you're a UW fan or alum and can't recognize that Michael Penix Jr. is maybe the best QB we've seen and is a legend for taking this program to places it hasn't been in 30 years then you don't know ball, pick up a new hobby, and that's that on that
Injuries are horrible for any player, but your heart breaks for Quandre Diggs. Has been a leader on the team since arriving via trade and has been their best defensive player this year. I hope he gets the contract he deserves this offseason. He absolutely earned it.
Hey guys! There can be more than one woman in sports media, and you don’t need to put one of them down to show your support for another. And while we’re at it, sports media needs more diverse voices in general.
Again, it's *wild* to me that fans of other teams would hate on Mariners fans for being so invested in this final week. Truly, imagine 20 years of no playoffs. Twenty. Years. I was a child the last time this team was in the postseason.
I’m not making any friends with Seahawks fans by saying this, but this breaks my heart. Aaron Donald is one of the best we’ll ever see play this game and I hope he gets a ring.
For real though, lots of mariners fans thinking of family and friends who aren’t here. Also ecstatic for a generation of fans who get to experience this for the very first time.
The weirdest type of response I’ve seen to this news are the few folks saying it would be more selfless if players didn’t announce it.
People are getting their bills paid because a 19-year-old decided to help out. Where’s that same energy calling out billionaire owners?
Dear Seahawks fans: I deeply regret earlier this week saying I wanted to see what Geno Smith and the Seahawks offense look like if they need a comeback win. I’ve since learned that a comfortable lead is also fine. I will and can be better.
Two picks might not be the highlight of Julian Love’s week: Love and his wife are welcoming a baby Wednesday
“Hopefully next time you hear from me I’ll have a newborn in my hands”

asks Jerry Dipoto if it's safe to assume Julio Rodriguez is about as untouchable as anyone in the league right now:
"Oh without a doubt. Julio will be a Mariner for as long as we can keep Julio a Mariner."
Tyler Lockett says he's staying behind in AZ with Quandre Diggs because he knows Diggs would do it for him (the pair are close friends). Carroll said Lockett came up to him to ask if he could stay with Diggs.
Pete Carroll said the first call he got after the pick of Jordyn Brooks was from current Seahawks LB and team captain Bobby Wagner, who wanted Brooks' contact info so he could reach out right away.

"hey pete, here playing thursday night football. kinda reminds me of all the primetime games we had together, miss those nights lol. anyways hope you're good"
Each of the following players has recorded his season-high in rushing yards against the Seahawks:
Cordarrelle Patterson 141
Jamaal Williams 108
Taysom Hill 112
Alvin Kamara 103
Kyler Murray 100
Rachaad White 105
Josh Jacobs 229
Chuba Hubbard 74
A youth movement in Seattle: Seahawks are expected to hire Ravens’ defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald as their new head coach, league sources tell ESPN. They’re still finalizing the deal, but Seattle has its man.
At 36, Macdonald now becomes the NFL’s youngest head coach.
If I had DK Metcalf's athleticism I'd be doing so much unnecessary stuff. Jumping into my car through the sunroof, jumping over rows to get to my seat in a theater, jumping over desks in the office.
Quick note for frustrated Seahawks fans: The defense does not look good & must improve from last season to make a playoff push. But also it’s Week 1 — theeee worst week to pass any big judgement on a team. You can tweet your anger, but then have a snack and relax.
Any hate for K.J. is wild. If there was an opportunity in Seattle I'm sure he'd jump at the chance. But if your dream is to get into coaching, you take a high-profile job where you can find it -- and the vast majority of people complaining about it would, too.
Whatever your thoughts on Seattle’s investment in Geno Smith, him getting paid like that after working through years as a career backup is a very cool story.
Russell Wilson and the situation in Denver is pretty easy to make fun of, don't get me wrong. But calling out Jake Heaps to pile on (and then framing it as making a point about fair hiring or accountability) feels more like a personal jab and pandering than a legit point.
Ryan Neal said even when he was on the field Jamal Adams continued to yell advice for him from the sideline:
"I tip my hat off to a man like that, because a lot of people in that situation would go in a hole, but he didn't. He stayed there and he was there for me."
The 2021 Mariners make no sense and I’m here for it. They’ve been snakebitten with injuries, are 28th in OPS, have a -42 run differential and one of the youngest rosters in baseball. Also sit above .500 in late June.
