Year 8 were proud to present their own dystopian. They designed their own book covers, wrote blurbs, and designed publishing and marketing materials, and then read extracts aloud before answering author-style Q+A discussion questions with their peers and visitors.📚⭐️

As part of the ‘Work Up’ project exploring careers in the Arts & Media industries, this week we worked with Costume Designer, Evie Gurney who designed the costumes for ‘Dear England’ at the @NationalTheatre and inspired the pupils to create mood boards for their own characters.

CONGRATULATIONS to this week’s winners of the Headteacher’s CREST Award🏅Nino & Shania (both in Yr 12) are awarded for Service, for their dedication whilst supporting younger pupils in guided reading &Feban in year 7 for her outstanding Effort when completing the memory clock⭐️

The Young Catenians @TheCateniansUK (our Year 7 Leadership Group) had a wonderful visit to Westminster Abbey @wabbey . They are supported by Ms Greer by former pupil and Catenian Mr Britto, and his colleague Mr Bucknall. They visit every Thursday to work with our young leaders.

It was a pleasure to welcome author of ‘Home’ @MarkBallabon to speak to our Year 8 students today. His book tells the story of 14yr old Leah, who expands her horizons on a journey of self discovery, & touches on many of the issues our young people are concerned about.
