P7/6 had a very enjoyable afternoon making an East-African chapati bread. We measured all required ingredients before mixing, kneading and proving! I cannot wait to hear how the children got on cooking and eating them, I hope they were delicious! 😋

P5 and P7 who share classes with the P6's couldn't let them have all the fun whilst at RIGArts so we had some too! We played lots of games that helped build our social skills 👌
What a fantastic morning we had! We had the pleasure of visiting P4 to see their presentations for tomorrow's showcase of learning before they joined us in our classroom to see ours. We can't wait to share them with our families tomorrow!

Today we wrote imaginative story books that would suit the infants of the school. We planned our texts carefully before writing our stories and then finally publishing them! Tomorrow we will share these stories with P3/2 and we cannot wait! 📖🖋🥰

Well done to these brave P7 learners who took on the roles of either Bruno, Mother, or Gretal during our Hot Seat lesson today. They did amazingly well when asked a variety of questions from their peers. They took on the roles of the characters with maturity and confidence! 🌟
Today, we celebrated World Book Day by participating in a reading session with National Literacy Trust, designed our own book marks, and then joined in with a whole school book swap! 📖 What a great day! 📚 ✏️

Looking at photos and maps that were provided by Captain Paterson this morning. It was amazing to see how much Inverclyde has changed over the years, as well as seeing photos of old ships and boats!
P7/6 had lots of fun playing against each other in small teams to see who would be the Multiplication Masters! Next time we will be competing to see who will the Division Destroyers! 💪
WOW! I am blown away by how much the children are progressing in their Street Band sessions! Check out the video below from session 2. UNCRC Article 31 Every child has the right to take part in artistic activities.

What an emotional afternoon for P7 as we watched The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas to round off our learning of this amazing novel! You could hear a pin drop! 😭
A huge thank you to Sadie from The Hebridean Whale & Dolphin Trust who spoke to us about dolphins today. We got to be dolphin detectives and find out all about them! It was great fun! 🐬

Yesterday p7/6 learned all about how to provide help to someone who requires CPR, use of a defibrillator or help when choking. Linda and Glenn from Heartstart helped us so much in our learning of this. Now, we would feel much more confident when faced with a situation like this👍
