Today we said a fond farewell to our fabulous year 6 children. We wish them all the very best as they move on to new adventures. They will be missed by us all!

We welcomed our new reception children into school today for their third and final stay and play session. We gave them a welcome gift bag from us containing a Bible, a biscuit and a photo frame to decorate and bring back in Sept with a family photo to create a display in class.

Lots of hands on learning in provision this week in KS1. We were investigators, problem solvers, authors, engineers, artists, scientists, mathematicians and inventors!

Today we welcomed Isatta Kallon, PC Jo Moss and PCSO Jules Greer into school to talk to the children in KS2 about diversity. The children were really engaged and had lots of questions and ideas. @DC_Police

Year 2 have been learning about road safety in our PHSE lessons. This week they enjoyed a walk around the local area to learn about how to be safe near the roads.

This year for Art Week we celebrated different countries that the families at St George’s represent. KS2 studied the Polish art form of paper cutting called Wycinanki. Here are some of the incredible outcomes.

During Art Week this year we celebrated the different countries represented by the families at our school. These pieces focused on India and the Mehndi designs often used with henna during festivals. These ink prints were made by KS2 cutting into polystyrene and then printing.

This week KS1 have been learning how to tell the time. We have looked at different clocks, made clocks, used mini clocks, matched times on clocks, played with clocks and now we can read clocks! Ask us what the time is next time you see us! We will impress you!

A busy week in Plym Class! We measured, counted, shared, painted, talked, sang, danced, built, read books, wrote information, planted, watered and even went to the farm! What fun!
