My 4* review of Robert Forsyth's new book 'Defenders of the Reich: The Luftwaffeโs War Against Americaโs Bombers' has now been published in the @Telegraph. A fascinating dive into the Luftwaffe's daunting task of countering the USAAF's daylight CBO raids: https://t.co/nlSjYO3W2E

Currently in the process of editing a new, extended two-part article on the making of the 1969 film 'Battle of Britain'. In the meantime, check out a short poem that I was inspired to write on the #BattleOfBritain during my final edits on #EagleDays: https://t.co/4fE4F7u4UX

Spitfire P7350 โฆ@RAFBBMFโฉ yesterday. The story has always been that P7350 was shot down on 25 Oct 1940 near Hastings when flown by Plt Off Martel. Research for revised โBattle of Britain Then & Nowโ โฆ@penswordbooksโฉ reveals that this is not the story at all!

How to Build a Spitfire by David Price is out TODAY! A homage to the aircraft that won the Battle of Britain, marrying the story of how the author built a replica in his garden & its operational history. Think WWII crossed with The Repair Shop! Out now - https://t.co/8AP0yi7msP

@SpitfireFilly @Lensofhistory84 Just finished it - really enjoyed the analysis and perspective. An excellent handling of a well worn story that brought out plenty I didn't know about the battle

@SpitfireFilly @Lensofhistory84 A brilliant read. Some I knew, but much I didn't. Also, filled many gaps which, stories that I've read years ago, on their own, were flimsy.
