“Joel was getting on Buddy, he was telling him, ‘Man just shoot the ball. We know what you can do, that’s what you’re here for.’”
Maxey on what Joel Embiid told Buddy and other a sixers role players at halftime:
If I do not make it past hip surgery today, my final message is I love you, spend time with your friends and family, but also I was right about Ben Simmons the entire time.
Lmfaoooo 🤣🤣🤣
Oubre to the refs:
“You’re a bitch, you’re a bitch, and you’re a bitch, ok? Your moms a bitch, your dad’s a bitch, your grandma’s a bitch”
I am excited to start the show with

. No two people I'd rather do a show with. It'll be great to come home.
I'm eternally grateful for Chris who hired me at

, and our team here who accepted me as part of it. I am proud of what we do, how we…
Embiid has been the best player in the NBA this season. Beat Jokic head to head (again). Stan Van Gundy is a loser.
Added bonus: no issues against the blitz tonight.
If we are going to trade for Buddy Hield, I would prefer it's just the first deal of more. If there's even a chance Embiid is back, you go all in. No half measures.
Also, farewell Furk, a true Sixer. And farewell Marcus "The Key" Morris, truly FROM HERE.
It's funny how much Knicks fans love the 90s teams (rightly) and are now spending so much time whining about the play being a little chippy. Especially with basketball Tie Domi, Josh Hart playing such a prominent role on the team.
Grow up! Go cry with Turtle and Ben Stiller.
I know I sound like a broken record, but since the 4th quarter of the Miami game, Embiid has played and talked in a different way than previous playoffs. Even with his body failing him in multiple ways. I'm thrilled they won but happy for him given what he's dealing with.
If you needed more proof that Denver should not have professional sports teams, this is it. It's simply unsafe due to the breathing difficulty. Sixers are playing it smart. 🙏🏼
The Sixers have had a lot of players who fit the "I thought he was one thing but he's really another" after he gets here. But Buddy Hield might have the widest gap between what I perceived and reality. I just can't figure out why he won't shoot.
I say this as a fan of a team who is guilty of this... every Knicks player and every Sixers player complains to the refs on almost every shot. It's gotta stop.
Knicks fans are hilarious. They all whine that nobody gives them credit, but then the minute they have to be judged like a title contender they all cry about expectations.
BRUNSON IS A SUPERSTAR but then nobody can criticize him like one. Bunch of babies.
The L2M confirming that the refs blew the calls is frustrating but ultimately doesn't matter. There are no banners for "got robbed." Sixers can't put themselves in position for it to matter.
If you're angry, channel the energy into being an awesome crowd on Thursday.
Bill Barnwell says the Eagles are the most frustrating team in the NFL, and you guessed it, it's the fans fault! It was also the fans who got Andy Reid fired, not going 4-12.
BREAKING: 76ers star Joel Embiid — the reigning MVP — will undergo a procedure this week to repair a left meniscus injury, a team official tells ESPN. A recovery timeline is expected after procedure, but expectation is that he will miss an extended period of time.
Tyrese Maxey is the first guard Embiid has played with who can take advantage of both pick and roll/pop with Embiid and the DHO stuff. Of course, Ben Simmons, the primary ball handler for several years could do neither.
Just so we are clear, the @ Denver games that Embiid missed in 20-21 and 21-22 (he played in 19-20) were both in stretches where he missed 9 consecutive games due to injury.
"When the news broke that Griffin was out, and Rivers might well be his replacement, a rival NBA executive texted this to CBS Sports: "And the other Eastern Conference contenders breathe easier."
The big question on my mind: would Pop masquerade as someone trying to help another coach, quietly campaign for the job and then take it like a vulture when the situation presented itself? It's hard to say.
The Toronto Raptors are finalizing a trade to send OG Anunoby to the New York Knicks for a package including RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and draft considerations, sources tell ESPN.
Ok now i want to create an NBA Mendoza Line but for reporting. Who is the last player with *just* enough clout that can get a national network to publish their agenda by name?
An atrocious performance, effort and energy from the sixers. And quite honestly forcing the Embiid 30-10 is loser behavior. This one has to be a one night situation.
"If the protest is upheld, the game is replayed from the point of the incorrect call/ruling, with the initial result no longer counting [3].
However, formal protests rarely succeed in the NBA. There have been only 6 successful protests out of 44 known cases in league history"
“An NBA team can file a formal protest about the outcome of a game if they believe there was an incorrect ruling or misapplication of the rules that directly impacted the result. Here are the key points about filing a formal protest in the NBA:
- It costs $10,000 to file a…
Dan here shows a misunderstanding of why Shane Gillis is popular. He is not popular because he got fired or canceled. He is popular because he's incredibly funny and people like him. He is successful in spite of getting fired not because he got fired.
“Now, the show that fired him for some slurs that were in his podcast past is bringing him back as host and needs him more than he needs them.”

Trade Harden for a first, Covington, and a guarantee that we never have to see Harden ever play for the Sixers again (also cleaning me of any wrongdoing).

forward Tobias Harris (14,594) passed Hall of Famer Spencer Haywood (14,592) on the NBA all-time scoring list at 165. Here’s a congratulatory message Haywood had for Harris for passing him on the scoring list:
The Philadelphia 76ers are signing F/C Kenneth Lofton Jr., on a two-way contract, sources tell ESPN. Lofton played parts of the past two seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies. Lofton adds to the Sixers frontline depth.
