And then here's a fun explanation for the math vs. vibes debate on the decision not to go for 2 when the Giants scored a TD down 15 late in the game:

A few specific follow-ups that would get more attention if the team wasn't 2-12. Kafka said the expectation was for Jevon Holland to fair catch the punts yesterday, but he returned two:

Dart and Kafka both spoke about a miscommunication on this play. Curious what that could mean. Just looked like a bad route and a late throw
Jaxson Dart's interception when targeting Jalin Hyatt before halftime. It's Hyatt's third snap of the game, his first snaps since Week 11. We've seen Dart throw anticipatory passes, but he waits until Hyatt enters his break before he rears back to throw. This provided

Apologies for slacking on these. Had a variety of things pop to prevent us from recording. We’ll get back on track next week!

I think some misinterpreted my tweet of my game story last night. I wasn’t absolving Kafka of his role in the loss(es). Just noting how hopeless the entire situation is, and it extends so much deeper than anything an interim coach could change: https://t.co/kTKnXFSRdt

Found myself feeling pity for Mike Kafka after this game. Think about that speech he gave before the bye we saw on Hard Knocks. He's 38 and got seven games to be a head coach for the first time. This is a great opportunity and he's obviously putting everything he has into it.

The Giants have the worst record (11-37) in the NFL since the start of the 2023 season (the Titans will likely join them by the end of the day). They are 5-17-1 against the NFC East in Joe Schoen's four seasons as GM.

Dexter Lawrence was asked if Abdul Carter's performance today shows the rookie can respond to criticism. "Yeah, for one week," Lawrence said. Lawrence added, "Greatness is doing it over weeks. Being consistent. That's what he can get to. He's just got to stick with the process

I’ve never seen a player get pulled for concussion checks anywhere near this frequently. It’s supposed to be a clinical process, but there are obviously extenuating circumstances with the Daboll/tent scene vs. Philly and the missed concussion vs. Chicago. In all seriousness,

Mike Kafka and Jaxson Dart said the play that sent the QB to the medical tent was a pass. Dart didn’t like the look so he just tried to get back to the line. Dart is at a loss for why he’s gotten sent off the field so frequently by officials/concussion spotters. He said he

That felt very much like a game between teams that had combined to lose 15 straight entering today. Commanders snap their streak, Giants have now lost eight straight. They're 2-12 for the second straight season.

I would say the Giants are going to lose, but the Commanders might have another fumble in them on these kneel downs.

Was thinking more of a short pass. Now this will be a 51-yard attempt to the end where Koo (and Moody) have struggled.
