This was a genuine life or death situation. Haunting radio from Russell and exactly the right radio call from him. This is exactly the sort of situation that kills drivers. I can't think of a better reason for an immediate red
I don’t think I’ve ever heard a driver beg for a red flag like this before. This is scary and you can hear it in his voice. Unacceptable.

It might be perfectly reasonable to ask him to sit out a race and have a bit of a think about what he's doing. It may even be a safety issue if he's just not paying attention. The safety car periods aren't safe if he's not watching the cars ahead

This was in response to what the people on tele were saying the rules were. Looks clear to me now that that rule changes track to track and that it was the initial call that was wrong. In which case, justice was served for Norris, who incorrectly had a blinding lap deleted
