A CME has done it again! Another impact from a CME that left the Sun on 11 November has caused a G3/Strong geomagnetic storm at Earth early this morning (02:00 SAST). Stormy conditions are expected to continue throughout today (13 November). Stay tuned for more updates!

A whole train of big #solarstorms are on their way, along with some smaller storms hitting now, and some fast solar wind! It is an #aurora photographers dream starting now and lasting at least through the weekend. Right now, the biggest of the storms should hit late Thursday or

A G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storm is currently in progress, with a maximum Kp index of 5. This activity is driven by the high-speed stream (HSS) associated with two positive-polarity coronal holes, CH91 and CH92. Solar wind speeds are elevated, reaching up to 600 km/s.
