Wow, @tomhanks shared such a beautiful story about his night flight with Jim Lovell. Jim Lovell placed a card-board cutout the same size of the window of the Apollo 13 lunar module over Tom Hanks' side of the cockpit and let him look for the same stars that helped navigate Apollo.

Found this (well my kids found it) in a German supermarket, freeze dried gummy bears. Funny to see that the Space Shuttle is still used everywhere to illustrate something related to space, while the last flight was already 14 years ago.

Some other accidental discoveries of space items during our vacation in Germany. We visited the Film Museum in Düsseldorf and they have several authentic Star Trek items like this model of the USS Enterprise and a phaser that were used in the TV series.

Another iconic space image brought to life with Grok's Imagine. One of the best images of Apollo 17 commander Gene Cernan on the lunar surface in December 1972. I tried to edit the prompt to stop the flag from moving, but that did not succeed. 😅

We stayed at the @RocketRanchTX hosted by the very kind and welcoming @AnthonyFGomez. Good memories! (And I bought a piece of a heat shield of Starship 24.)

About a year ago I visited Starbase as part of our coast to coast roadtrip. It was a very special opportunity and a fantastic experience to see the Starships in the rocket garden.

I really love those blue A5-L, developmental Apollo spacesuits. Here the Apollo 9 crew (Schweickart, Scott and McDivitt) is seen wearing them. (I saw this photo on eBay)

Good to see Dutch Newspaper @volkskrant dedicating an entire page today in memory of Jim Lovell. "Jim Lovell brought 'his' Apollo 13 safely back on earth after explosion." 👍
