A better picture of the launch of SpaceX Falcon 9. Great that we had the possibility to witness a launch while on the Space Coast. π

Last night was EPIC! A 6 hour night with Apollo 16 moonwalker Charlie Duke in Germany, with only 25 guests! It was fantastic to meet him and his wife and talk to them. He spoke about several artifacts like original moon boots, a bubble helmet, gloves etc. I gave him a 3D printed

Just bought tickets to the immersive experience The Moonwalkers in Amsterdam! I went to Destination Cosmos there previously, and that was fantastic. Looking forward to this, but have to wait a month.

One of the best shots ever! Incredible!
Here's the full photo briefly featured in my recent video post showing @BlackGryph0n against the full solar chromosphere after his jump. Crazy how small he looks despite being nearly 50,000,000x closer! This ended up being my most popular print (vs the closeup) linked in my bio.

I saw this on the @NASASpaceflight livestream. Imagine watching this epic launch of New Glenn, and your view is blocked by this gigantic cruiseschip...π¨
@blueorigin @davill So, uh, @CarnivalCruise...you seem to be a tad unpopular with the crowd on the jetty there... (This is just 6-secs after my first shot of the Blue Origin New Glenn rocket lifting off.)

Wishing Fred Haise a fantastic 92nd birthday today! He flew to the Moon on Apollo 13 and flew five Approach and Landing Tests with the Space Shuttle. Last year I visited this exhibition and his statue in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Marvelous Icarus image created by @AJamesMcCarthy.
Immense planning and technical precision was required for this absolutely preposterous (but real) view: I captured my friend @BlackGryph0n transiting the sun during a skydive. This might be the first photo of it's kind in existence. See a video of this moment in the reply π

Blue Origins New Glenn is one great looking rocket! π In about 15 minutes it will launch two spacecraft to Mars. If all goes to plan, the first stage will land on a barge ship! π€

Today, it is the 90th birthday of Apollo 9 astronaut Rust Schweickart. I took this picture last year at the unveiling of tiles at the boulevard in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.

For a few minutes I could peak through the clouds and imaged Comet Lemmon. With the Seestar it only took me 4 minutes and I processed it only in the app. (Bortle scale 8.3)

Today I visited the Wereldmuseum (World Museum) in Leiden. To my surprise there was a Russian space suit in the temporary exhibition about gold. Gold is used in visors of space suits because of its ability to reflect ultraviolet radiation. (But this helmet does not have a golden

Trying to 3D print a scale model of the control panels of the Apollo Command Module. This small scale test looks promising. (Still waiting for the customized files to start this project...) #3DPrinting

My last panel of this @esa Open Day; a @spacerockslive panel of new and older ESA astronauts. Thomas Reiter and Rosemary Coogan talking about past and future ESA missions. As a surprise, Reiter was presented with one of his old experiments regarding osteoporosis in space.
