BATMAN KERB DRILL (1967): Holy PIF! While on a promotional tour for Batman, Adam West filmed this road safety public information film for British kids, in character as the caped crusader, and it's every bit as wonderful as you'd expect.

My iPhone captured a crisp Moon photo this morning. These 4 brave explorers - Jeremy, Vic, Reid & Christina - are voyaging there, exactly one month from today, piloting that @NASA_Orion capsule behind them, atop the huge @NASAArtemis SLS rocket. First time any crew has flown that

Being able to actually see what’s happening in dark or low-light scenes used to matter. Shadows had shape, blacks had detail, and night photography still communicated space. Too often now, darkness just becomes information loss.

On Christmas day my dad would have turned 101. I cannot begin to process that. In my mind he will always be young, as he died at only 50. He once said he thought his writing was "momentarily adequate", that "it would not stand the test of time." Thank you all for your kindness.

Our favorite writer would have turned 101 today! Rod Serling was born December 25, 1924. As he so famously quipped, “I was a Christmas present that was delivered unwrapped.” As Lois Nettleton ("The Midnight Sun") said, he was "a lovely gift to the world." Merry Christmas, all!

It’s not Christmas Eve without Earthrise. This iconic photograph was taken on Dec. 24, 1968 astronaut Bill Anders as the Apollo 8 crew orbited the Moon. In 2026, four astronauts with NASA’s Artemis II mission will set out to venture around the Moon once again!
