Air pollution has been plaguing humans since long before the Industrial Revolution -- so much so, some scientists argue, that fires and smoke have altered the course of human evolution.Β

Itβs not just a modern problem. Airborne toxins are so pernicious that they may have shaped our DNA over millions of years.

The amazing folks at Michoud Assembly Facility rolled the 1st SLS core out for it's maiden voyage on the Pegasus barge bound for Stennis Space Center. There it will complete a test shakedown known as Green Run. Hats off to the amazing Boeing and NASA team who made it happen!
"We are here for a purpose greater than ourselves...now, forward to the Moon!" said NASA Deputy Administrator @jmorhard as the #NASASLS core stage was rolled out from NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility on Jan. 8. WATCH FOR MORE >> https://t.co/JXoD5dHRC6

I canβt wait for @EuropaClipper to get to Europa and I canβt wait even more to see what lurks beneath the ice, and itβs amazing to work at a place where others feel the same way
Europa is considered one of the best candidates in our solar system to be inhabited by some form of extraterrestrial life. Meet the floating rover that could first lay eyes on it.

"mom, who was the first woman to travel to the moon?" "Well, she won a dating contest..." is *not* the answer I want to give. Not against the concept in general, but firsts are special. History remembers them. I need this one to be done right.

I was serious. 1st video is recorded π± just need to add subtitles to make it accessible to everyone!
I LOVE highlighting people in STEM! π©πΏβπ¬π§π½βππ¨π½βπ§π©πΎβππ©π»ββοΈ So if I was to make a series of short videos talking about underrepresented scientists, researchers, innovators etc (past & present) and their contributions to our knowledge and the world we live in, would this interest you??

I want the first woman to go to the moon not because sheβs a contestant on some elaborately expensive dating show but because she deserves to experience what all the men have experienced. Because she is a qualified engineer or scientist or simply more than a sexual prospect.

@starstrickenSF That's awesome! Congratulations. π May I use your experience here as a story when talking to kids about STEM stuff to illustrate how awesome it can be when you are the 1st person in all of humanity to know something? Something I like to do, but this is a great concrete example
