Shortly after we opened, companies like ⁦@simpsonseeds⁩ and Walker Seeds were hitting their 25 year anniversaries. It seemed like an unachievable milestone. We will be celebrating joining that same club with customers, suppliers and employees on Jan 12th

Good representable samples will be more important than ever this crop year. Untimely rains have created some uncertainty with quality. There will be product affected, but we don’t know how much for a couple weeks.

Canada, it's time to wake up. The US isn't the friend we thought it was. How have we found ourselves in this situation? 3 Canadian elections brought in a government that has prevented resource development, substantially increased taxes for all, engaged in extreme deficit

In 12 hours, Canada faces an economic catastrophe. It is time for Minister @stevenmackinnon and the federal government to act. Listen to Pulse Canada Chair Terry Youzwa's comments to media earlier today. #StopTheLockout #StopTheStrike @hugewalleye

It's hard to imagine a more catastrophic threat to the Canadian economy than a strike by both major railways at the same time. And to have it occur at harvest... It's unthinkable. But here we are. Go to https://t.co/wXrih7X2GI to write to your MP about this impending

An employee got a new toy (drone) and we put it to work with an inside look at our bagging system. Not fully automated, but still pretty slick

The local food bank was looking for something to stock their shelves for the holidays, and they thought Red Lentils and Green Peas was quite Christmasy.

Recently, the big story in agriculture has changed from food security to #climate policy. This didn't happen because farmers aren't sharing their stories. What we're facing is a scale problem - there aren't enough of us to combat so much misinformation. https://t.co/ReaIuusody

We’ve heard optimism up to this point, but that is slipping. Next weeks weather should help.

@zeefarmer Not near as bad as manitoba but we have fair amount of water. We will have significant unseeded acres at June 15 Crop Insurance seeding deadline optimiscally 15% We were waiting for good conditions but now in 2011 mode. Scratching every acre into the mud we can. 🤷🏼‍♂️.

Another major rain has delayed seeding again on durum acres. Fusarium timing on heavy wet soil will be a possible problem now and more rain coming. On a good note, grasshoppers may struggle in the water. SE Sask. 5 percent seeded and normally 50-60 percent in.

This is quite a price for some much needed moisture. Power is out in several communities in the SE with poles and lines down. Thanks to @SaskPower who will have us all looked after in the coming days. They will have their work cut out for them. Stay safe
